ProjectsMaracc is currently developing the GM4000 rig, a purpose-built heavy well intervention unit capable of handling all well intervention needs. The development – tailored for promising business opportunities related to sub-sea energy developments – is based on a turnkey construction contract with COSCO. The intervention unit is the first of its kind, and is designed for North Sea operations. The GM4000 is a fully equipped semi-submersible unit based on proven design. Island Offshore is responsible for the marketing and management the vessel, as well as providing project management and supervision during construction. Island Offshore has an unrivalled track record, having performed numerous light well intervention operations for StatoilHydro, Chevron and Nexen. The GM4000 is a state of the art top-side from National Oilwell Varco and Nymo. |
